Day 2

I didn't do much on Day 2. Traveling with American Airlines was a headache and I didn't end up getting home until 4am because I drove myself home in a rental car after I missed my connecting flight!

I did start working on a tabletop game inspired by Nikke Goddess of Victory that is currently called LUNA SYNTHESIS. Though I'm an artist and graphic designer as well as a tabletop games creator, I will probably just release a plain text version because I have way too many ongoing projects to just drop and illustrate and lay out a whole new one.

LUNA SYNTHESIS will be entirely written on this macbook though! I'm using vim for all my text editing needs, including writing this website. And for the sake of delight and sharing, here's a pic of the macbook.

I originally fell in love with this form factor when I was a kid, back when it was new. I went to a party with my parents and the daughter of the hosts, who was a few years older than me, showed me and some of the other kids her laptop - a white unibody A1181, though I don't know the exact year. I was immediately smitten, and very surprised that a kid would have their own laptop, because I didn't have my own computer until I was 14 or 15. Now that it's been almost 20 years I was able to get my own! And it's just as cute as I remember. Especially being able to run Mac OS X Lion (10.7.5) without much issue and figuring out how to install more modern things on it, this has been very joyful for indulging child-me who thought this was the cutest laptop she had ever seen.
